As soon as I saw Sweet Peasy on Ravelry, I knew that, done in linen, it would be the perfect Spring sweater to match some cropped, off-white, denim pants with beige stitching I had bought Gianna. I quickly ordered some Classic Elite Soft Linen and cast on when it arrived two days later. This little sweater almost knit itself. All in all, it took just a week of part-time knitting to make.
Then I remembered the little, linen sheep buttons I had bought on Etsy a year or so ago from Buttered Parsnips. Perfect!
I was so excited to have Gianna try it on when I arrived to babysit yesterday. "Look at this sweater that auntie made you. Let's try it on."
"No sweater."
"See the little sheep. Baaaaaaa. Let's just see if it fits"
"Fits" Rips it out of my hands and tosses it on the floor. Unless I'm putting it on her to take her outside or its pockets hold M&M's, she is decidedly disinterested. Alas, it was raining. Which is fortunate for me because, as I have stated on Flickr, no one informed me that the slowest increment of time known to man is that of backyard time. You toss the ball, play hide and seek, look for bugs, get all dirty, and still only five minutes have gone by. Any sort of cajoling to get her in the house is useless. "Let's go see what Ruby and Max are doing"
"Un huh" (puts on her "Oomi goggles)

"Should we go get a treat?"
"Noooooo"
"Wanna color?"
"Nope. Outside, Kimmy. 'mon!"

When her playscape gets put in next week, I'm doomed. It's going to be a long Summer....
I survive outside and park time with easy (so I don't have to pay much attention) small (so it can be shoved in a pocket) knitting. It is a sanity saver.

What a darling little sweater - maybe seeing your success will get me off hiatus on my own Peasy:) That is really wishful thinking...:)

The sweater looks comfortable and so cute.
Gianna is just as cute, if not more.
