Did I finally finish something? Yes, I did. Was the yarn yummy and the pattern fun? Absolutely. Have I been watching WAY too many episodes of Real.Housewives.of.New.Jersey? You bet! Is it just me or does anyone else just love these ladies and their habit of asking and answering their own questions as much as I do? I just cannot get enough--until Jim comes in, sighs loudly, and says, "Why must you torture me?" I just quote the show right back to him, "Happy wife, happy life!" He shakes his head and leaves the room.
In the midst of all the house stuff, I managed to knit this fun, little Cinnamon Grace scarf/shawl.
It is somewhat reminiscent of the Just Enough Ruffles scarf, but it was so much more fun to make. The lace edging was one I had never done before, and the picot cast off gave it a very delicate look with just a bit of effort. Had it not been for the cast off, I could probably have gotten away with only three skeins of yarn. But I think it was worth it because it really adds that extra something. Just ask Maggie....

Thank you all for the encouraging comments regarding the house. One week later, things seem a bit brighter and less overwhelming. We are a long way from being done, but at least now I can almost envision the possibilities.
Sassy Miss cracked me up last week with this picture, so I figured I would share.
Would I wear them? Probably not. Are they a bit over the top? Sure. Are they absolutely adorable on her? Without a doubt!
"Let me tell you somethin'. Our family is thick as thieves!"

Maggie looks so cozy in that! Look at that cute face! Coochicoo

OMG! I LOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEE that show! It's the best of 'em! I could talk about it all day. Too, too awesome. I just finished up the last bit of it I had last night (some extra footage of the dinner fight) and am so bummed it's all gone. All gone! So glad to hear from you, though! I missed you. OK. Off to check out that cool scarf of yours again.

Will I watch that show on re-runs? Absolutely I will. Is that one very beautiful scarf on one cute dog? Most definitely it is. Do pictures of g make me smile everytime? Without a doubt, yes.

I've never seen the show, but it sounds awesome! I've got my own brainless tv guilty pleasures, and get the exact reaction from DH. Happy wife, happy life—gotta remember that one.
Glad to hear that the house situation is easier, that the beautiful knitting continues, and that G is rocking the pink sparkly shoes (she can definitely pull them off!)

I love that show! The shoes are adorable. You know Gianna needs a matching headband and handbag like the little girls on the show.
The last photo of Gianna is priceless."...thick as thieves!"
