YAY-Corns!

Perhaps the most fun, quick, and satisfying craft project I've ever undertaken - Felted Acorns.  After seeing these here and here, Tracy and I just knew we were destined to make some of our own.

I took the easy job (ordering the felted balls online) while Tracy and her industrious daughter foraged the woods for acorn caps.

I'd say I definitely got the better end of the deal.

Not only did she collect the caps, but she baked them to free us of dirty bugs (play along, people.  She insists they exist).

Naturally, we ordered two more bags of balls because, after all, one can never have enough felted acorns.  Can one?

These will match the little acorn hat beautifully! Great photos.

Oh they're so cute!! I've never heard of such a thing. How wonderful!

LOL!.. .they ARE sooooo fun! More to come next week! :)

these are SO great!
i bet there ARE bugs in those caps! :)
love them~

super-adorable!!! but what are you going to do with them? I'm thinking they'd look really cute as Christmas tree decoration.

What an insane and magical project, Kim!

I bet they'd look great in a nice, little tabletop urn.

I have never seen this before - so cute!!!

Fabulous acorns, I would have them in bowls all round the house!

So cute - love the ordering on line thing, and the baking first thing. You're my kind of wimmens, you are!
